Grant & Leah - May 2019 Update

It's been a while since I've posted pictures of the kids, so I thought I'd add a few of my recent favorites.

Leah's 2nd Birthday - Muppet Babies Theme

Leah is TWO!!

I know we all say it, but man time flies! I feel like I was just pregnant with Leah, and now she's 2. She is SUCH a joy. She is so full of life and laughter. She's silly and sassy and wears me out on a daily basis with her passion for life.

Her daycare teachers love her so much that they kept her from moving up to the next class for months. They totally spoiled her on her actual birthday. They gave her a party, cake, and all of the presents below. We are so thankful for her daycare mommas.

Her party theme was "Muppet Babies"

She loved opening up all of her presents this year.  She is seriously the most expressive toddler. Her facial expressions make us laugh all of the time.

She opened up a baby doll and shouted "MINE" and hit her chest. You can tell she has an older sibling that she has to share with - haha

She was so excited for Elmo!

Her brother picked that crown out for her all by himself. She wanted to wear it the rest of the party :)

So excited for more babies!

Spoiled princess :)

Happy 2nd birthday, sweet girl!

Remembering Oliver 2/2009 - 2/2019

So, I had a pretty rough morning.  My cat, Oliver, started acting very lethargic and not at all like himself. I knew right away that something was very wrong.

I've had him for exactly 10 years this month. He was my first "baby" and lived with me when I had an apartment alone in college, joined 2 other cats when I got married, was there when I brought home my newborn son and then 3 years later my daughter.  He was just a tiny, white puff ball when I found him crying outside on a freezing, rainy day. I rescued him and his brother (who my mom still has) that day and I've loved him so very much.

The vet told me that he had feline cardiomyopathy. His heart was very thick and was not pumping blood to his organs. He was struggling to breathe and I didn't want him to be in pain anymore.

My heart is broken, but I wanted to make a post here where I post all the things about my children that I don't want to forget. He was my first "baby" who I raised by myself. He kept me company during late nights studying throughout college. I don't want to post how he looked on his last day, but I do want to post some of my favorite photos of him over the past 10 years.

I love you, Oliver. Thank you for sharing your life with me.  I'll miss you.
